Kristaps Porzingis reveals his honest reaction to playing at Madison Square Garden.

All eyes will be on the Boston Celtics vs New York Knicks series during the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs in the Eastern Conference .

On paper, the Celtics are the superior team and have dominated the Knicks as well .

However, many believe that the pressure of playing at Madison Square Garden could play a huge role for the Celtics.

Kristaps Porzingis in particular will be under the spotlight as he was a member of the Knicks for the first three years of his NBA career.

Kristaps Porzingis on returning to MSG Ahead of the second-round series against the Knicks , Porzingis was asked about his thoughts on playing at MSG.

The Unicorn was initially confused by the question, but the reporter confirmed the question was in regard to the pressure of returning to the legendary arena.

I just always love playing there.

Honestly, I love playing there on the road.

My first couple of games were pretty crazy there, with getting booed and stuff, Porzingis said.

He said: But now the time has passed and its not as recent anymore.

Ive also changed a couple of teams from that perspective its just whatever, but I love playing there honestly.

Porzingis further mentioned that he always connects with the fans when hes at the MSG and described it as a fun experience.

Kristaps Porzingis stats vs NY Knicks Its never easy to face the crowd of the team that drafted an athlete into the NBA.

As Porzingis admitted, the first few games back were tough for him.

However, over the years, he has learned to deal with that aspect of the matchup and has put up good numbers against the Knicks .

To be precise, Porzingis has played 15 games against the Knicks in his career where he has averaged 21.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game.
