Former Fargo North coach Ted Critchley to take reins of Fargo South boys basketball team

FARGO A face familiar to the Fargo area will return to coaching there next season.
Ted Critchley has been tabbed as the next boys basketball head coach at Fargo South.
Critchley takes the reins from longtime Bruins coach Mike Hendrickson, who officially retired in April after 28 years leading the program .
Critchley, who previously coached the Fargo North boys from 2016-22, most recently served as the boys head coach and Dean of Students at Ulen-Hitterdal in Minnesota for the last two years.
Following his departure from North , Critchley went on to the collegiate level for a stint as men's head coach at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls in 2022-23.
Other stops in his coaching career include Roseville from 2010-15, Anoka-Hennepin from 2006-10, Waseca from 2001-06, Sleepy Eye from 1999-01, Foley from 1997-99, Lake Park-Audubon from 1996-97 and Onamia from 1995-96.
Critchley is a two-time section Coach of the Year in Minnesota to go with three conference Coach of the Year awards.
He led Fargo North to the state tournament for the first time in 10 years in 2021.
