BOSTON Al Horford was one of the first Celtic players to rush over to Jayson Tatum after the All-Star was taken down by a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope flagrant foul in Game 1.

He bumped one Magic player upon arriving on the scene as Tatum dealt with the aftermath of landing on his right wrist.

Tatum continued to deal with soreness from the fall at Tuesdays practice at the Auerbach Center.

However, the Celtics big man voiced his displeasure with the Magic when asked about the situation ahead of Game 2.

There was something extra, Horford said of the foul.

There was a lot it was the second or third time that especially KCP went at him in that way.Tatum is currently day-to-day according to Joe Mazzulla ahead of Game 2 after hitting the court hard while attempting a dunk.

He was able to do some stuff, Joe Mazzulla said.

Just sore after the game, its gotten a little better today.

Hes going to go through some on-court work and go from there. The 38-year-old Horford has appeared in 187 postseason games in his career and knows what an underdog Orlando team is trying to achieve with the extra physicality. It just reminds you of what the playoffs are and the intensity that you play with, Horford said.

Were all competing.

Were playing hard.

Theres a level to it.

In the regular season, you probably dont see it as consistent.

In the playoffs, theres a lot of it.

Thats just a reminder. However, those tactics arent going to work on Boston if you ask Payton Pritchard.

I dont feel intimidated, Pritchard said of the Magic.

I grew up playing physical basketball in the backyard, playing with my brothers and friends, and I think we all have.

No matter what a hard foul is, were just gonna get up and play ball and just check it back up.

Obviously they fouled him hard and then he had a little fall, but Its not gonna stop us from what were trying to achieve.

Its not gonna knock us off our path. The Celtics and Magic will face off in Game 2 of the first round on Wednesday night at TD Garden.
