Every week, the Dallas Mavericks fanbase hopes not to be disappointed by general manager Nico Harrison , but he continues to prove them wrong in some capacity.

By now, all of the NBA community is aware of the horrible decision to trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers .

While Harrison has hardly made any media appearances since the disastrous trade, many expected him to make things better at the end of season press conference.

But as expected, Nico somehow found a way to make it worse.

Nico Harrison didnt quite know Luka Doncics importance to the Dallas fanbase Being the general manager of an NBA team is not an easy task by any means, but to be so disconnected with the fanbase? It is truly marvelous.

During his end-of-season presser, Harrison made a shocking admission that he never knew Doncic was this important to the Dallas fanbase .

I did know Luka was important to the fan base.

I didnt quite know to what level, Harrison said.

As expected, this statement was met by scrutinity from many, including ESPNs Tim MacMahon , who recently dropped a bombshell of a report about Harrisons involvement in essentially wiping out the Mavs trusted executives one step at a time .

Coming back to Nicos comments about the now-Lakers star, its simply unbelievable.

How can someone be the GM of a team and not know the importance of their face of the franchise? After all, Dallas has a Luka Doncic day (July 06).

Thats the importance Doncic has in the Dallas community.

Charles Barkleys message to Nico Harrison NBA legend and Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley became a recent addition to the long list of Harrisons critics.

However, Chuck used a unique method to try and get through to his friend, Nico Harrison.

Listen man, I consider you a friend of mine, Nico Harrison.

I wish you nothing but the best.

I thought you did a good job last year with the Mavs and obviously whatever happened this year, didnt work out, Barkley said on Inside the NBA.

Man, dont do no more press conferences.

I dont even know what you are doing.

I really dont.

I got sympathy and love for you, but I have zero idea of what youre trying to do, Barkley continued.

He added: This war is over, brother.

You have to take an L.

I hope you keep your job.

I hope that team gets healthy, but man, dont do any more interviews.

As Barkley pointed out, the interview was simply terrible and did more harm than good for Harrisons reputation.

At this point, he needs to take a good, hard look in the mirror before either apologizing to the Mavericks fans or simply living with his decision and hoping for the best next season.
