The 2024-25 season is in the books for the Philadelphia 76ers, which means it is the time to look back on the season that was for each player.

The Sixers finished 24-58 as they missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2016-17 season amid a slew of injuries. The Sixers used a grand total of 30 players throughout the season and an NBA record 53 starting lineups.

This series will focus on the 15 players on standard deals and the three on two-way deals to finish the season--not anybody who finished the season on a 10-day deal.Up next in this series is Ricky Council IV who finished up a tough second season in the league.

Expected to make his claim for a consistent spot in the rotation after a solid rookie year, Council battled inconsistent play and had a tough time earning the trust of the coaching staff. Here is a look at Council's year in 2024-25:Council's 2024-25 numbersCategoryPPGRPGAPGFG%3FG%Council's numbers7.32.91.338.2%25.8%Council's season overviewCouncil averaged 2.9 3-point attempts on the season which is up from the 1.0 in his rookie season.

That could explain the dip in 3-point percentage from 37.5% in 2023-24 to 25.8% in 2024-25.

More attempts mean more chances to miss and vice versa for makes so one has to believe the Sixers were happy with the attempts he took.

As time goes on, one has to hope Council can take steps forward with his shot.

The Sixers could use a player with his skill set and athleticism, but they need him to be able to shoot the ball at a more efficient rate to earn regular minutes.Council highlightsThe season-high for Council came on March 21 against the San Antonio Spurs when he had 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting while knocking down three triples on five attempts and grabbing eight rebounds.

However, his most impactful game might have come in a Nov.

30 win over the Detroit Pistons when he had 17 points and five rebounds against a quality opponent in Detroit.

He shot 5-for-7 against the Pistons and got the foul line seven times.Final gradeOverall, outside of a few games, Council disappointed in the 2024-25 season.

He received a lot of minutes and a chance to make an impact in a season where nothing went right for Philadelphia and he had a tough time nailing down a rotation spot.

His contract for 2025-26 is not guaranteed so one has to wonder what the future holds for the athletic forward out of Arkansas.Final grade: C-minusThis article originally appeared on Sixers Wire: Final 2025 Philadelphia 76ers player grades: Ricky Council IV.
