MIAMI GARDENS The Miami Dolphins are going to work with cornerback Jalen Ramsey on a trade , as first reported by NFL Network.

On Tuesday, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier addressed the Ramsey situation at a pre-draft news conference.

Dolphins GM Chris Grier on Jalen Ramsey trade Here are some things Grier said: After a couple of weeks of discussions between ourselves internally and Jalen and our representative we decided it was in the best interest of all parties to move forward.

These discussions aren't done quickly or made lightly.

At the end of the day, Jalen did not ask for a trade.

After numerous conversations, it was best to move forward.

I don't know if we'll trade Jalen before the draft.

Trades come together at all different times.

When it happens it will happen.

Jalen Ramsey did not ask for more money.

Some of the details of the discussion will remain private.

This was a long discussion.

There were many discussions throughout the offseason.

We're prepared.

If he's here, we'll deal with it.

It's never easy to replace a player like Jalen.

He'll probably be a Hall of Famer.

But we feel this is the best chance to help us.

We've had some discussions with teams.

I'm not going to speak for Jalen and coaches but we've had a lot of discussions.

We are not pursuing a Tyreek Hill trade.

If someone wants to offer two first-round picks we'll consider it.

Nobody has called about trading for Tyreek Hill.

The words rebuild or reset have not been raised at all.

Our goal is to win.

Some of the players we added are quality human beings who have been leaders in other places.

In house we have guys like Zach Sieler, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Alec Ingold, Austin Jackson.

Those guys lead by example.

I would say it's wildly inaccurate to suggest Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey situations represent an in-house red flag problem.

Tyreek is showing his teammates this is where he wants to be.

He has been great in the building.

Things happen with players.

You see it around the league.

Things happen for various reasons.

It's not people trying to get out of here.

On team culture: When people are studying and talking about team culture it's always interesting.

Because you take snippits.

We feel good where it is.

This has been a steady build to doing it the way we want it done.

We feel good where the culture is.

A lot of the players are involved in taking accountability for it as well.

We are open to moving down or up in the next NFL draft.

We do have needs.

There are also good street free agents available.

A lot of veterans are waiting until after the draft.
