Jarin Stevenson is coming home.

The Alabama men's basketball transfer has committed to continue his NCAA career at North Carolina.

It's a sweet fit for Stevenson, whose family is from Chapel Hill and whose mother played college hoops for UNC.

Stevenson was a five-star recruit (ESPN) in high school out of Seaforth High School in Pittsboro, N.C.

The 6-foot-11 promising forward played in 74 games across two seasons with the Crimson Tide.

Overall, he averaged 5.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game, putting up nearly identical numbers in each of his two Alabama seasons.

Back when Stevenson was entering his sophomore year of high school, UNC was the first school to offer him a college scholarship.

Stevenson's final three in high school was the Tar Heels, the Crimson Tide and Virginia.

He ended up leaving ACC country, then re-classified to enroll a year early at Alabama.

Maybe that wasn't the right move, but it doesn't matter now.

Stevenson is coming home, and that's all that matters for the powder blue faithful.
