Texas College Steers hold spring football game
TYLER, Texas (KETK) Spring football is upon us in East Texas and on Sunday night the Texas College Steers football team held their spring game.It was a great opportunity for the community to come out and support the Steers who are coming off an 8-3 season in 2024 their best season since 2005.Steers head coach Jarrail Jackson is entering his fourth season at the helm and hes led quite the turnaround after the Steers won a combined two games in his first two seasons at Texas College.Sunday nights spring game offered a chance for not only Steers fans but also Jackson to get his eyes on some of the incoming players and transfers wholl be looking to make an impact for the team next season and beyond. The Steers just missed the playoffs last year but Jackson feels like with key pieces in the fold and more support from the community, Texas College Football can go on a special run this year.We can feel that.
We got some guys we can plug and play so we got a couple guys we just need to get back off of suspensions thatll help us make it a good team.
We got some incoming freshmen and incoming transfers thatll get after it so we looking forward to a big season, big season.
The goal for us is to get into the playoffs and see what happens, Jackson said.I feel like well be strong in our D-line and our linebackers.
