Report: Atlanta expected to host 2028 Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is getting ready to make its return to Atlanta in three years.

According to the Sports Business Journal , the NFL is expected to award Super Bowl LXII in 2028 to Atlanta when owners meet next month in the city.

This will be the second time in nine years the Super Bowl will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of the Atlanta Falcons .

Arthur Blank , the owner of the Falcons, has been public about hosting another Super Bowl after last hosting in 2019.

By 2028, Atlanta will have three major hotels and Centennial Yards mixed-use development completed near the stadium.

None of those were present in 2019.
