Sources: Racer Morant misses Grizzlies’ practice, status unknown for tonight

MEMPHIS Former Murray State basketball star Ja Morant proclaimed Wednesday that an ankle injury sustained in Tuesday night in Memphis NBA Play-In Game loss at Golden State would not keep him from playing in tonights do-or-die matchup with Dallas in Memphis.

However, opinions became uncertain Thursday when Morant missed the Grizzlies practice session ahead of tonights game that will decide the final Western Conference Playoff spot.

Tonights loser ends its season.

Wednesday, the Racer Hall of Famer posted on social media that, Im playing.

It aint nothing different.

However, it appears more damage was incurred when Morant landed on a players foot as he hit a shot in the third quarter of the Warriors 121-116 win in which Morant scored 22 points.
