PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers finished up a highly disappointing 24-58 season on Sunday with a 122-102 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

The Sixers now are looking to pick up the pieces as they move forward into what should be a very interesting offseason. The biggest question President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and Co.

have to answer is what's next for the team's Big 3 of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey? Of course, the hope and the answer is that all three will be healthy and ready to go when the season begins in October, but there is no guarantee when considering the injury history of Embiid and George. With that being said, Embiid is two years removed from winning the MVP award in 2023 and was on a rampage in the 2023-24 season before that fateful January night in Golden State.

There is hope that this latest procedure will have him fully ready to go when the 2025-26 season gets underway, but obviously, there is no guarantee."Look, Joel is 13 months away from scoring 70 in a game," Morey said.

"Obviously, a lot has changed.

He got landed on in Golden State, and thats created the next many months of him working to get healthy, which hell continue to do.

We know hes an MVP-level talent when hes healthy.

Its fair for people to have the question you have, but in my opinion, when you have an MVP-level talent, you need to make aggressive moves to upgrade around that talent in that window.

Thats what we did last offseason and we feel good about it going forward."The Big 3 of Embiid, George, and Maxey played a grand total of 18 games together due to injuries.

They finished only 15 of those 18 games and the Sixers went 7-8 in those games.

Per PbP Stats, the trio had a -0.22 net rating as it was tough for the trio to get anything done in their minutes.

That is something Morey and Co.

will have to evaluate."Mostly health," Morey said of the lack of health.

"Even the games they played, at least three of them, something like that, they didnt finish the game.

I know quite a few of those, it was the first game back which is generally worse as youre returning from injuries so Id have to go look at each game in detail, but I almost feel like they had zero healthy games together.

I think we havent really seen what they can do.

Didnt really get game one, but we felt good.

Well be out there game one showing the fans what we can do starting next season."While the expectation is that they will be out there for opening night, there is no guarantee.

The Sixers will just have to wait and see and hope that everybody's recovery process will go smoothly.
