The Detroit Tigers are now down a catcher at least for 10 days.The Tigers placed starting catcher Jake Rogers on the 10-day injured list with left oblique tightness.
Rogers was originally scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the New York Yankees but was scratched from the lineup an hour before first pitch after picking up the injury during warmups.We have placed C Jake Rogers on the 10-day injured list with left oblique tightness and selected the contract of C Tomas Nido from Triple-A Toledo.

Rogers caught every Skubal start during his Cy Young-winning campaign in 2024.Rogers has played in six of the 10 games to start 2025.
