Watch: Mariners' Victor Robles hurts himself making catch into netting

Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles made perhaps the catch of the MLB season thus far, but it definitely came at a cost.

Playing in right field against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, Robles produced an insane grab on a ball hit deep into the right field corner by San Francisco catcher Patrick Bailey.

With the score tied 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth inning and a runner on first with one out, Robles sprinted after the ball hit by Bailey and tracked it down before going headfirst into the netting in the area.

Robles body folded awkwardly upon impact, and it looked like his left arm and hand took the majority of the punishment.

A visibly disoriented Robles then shoveled the ball over to the cutoff man, but San Franciscos Luis Matos, the runner at first, was able to move up on the ensuing tag-up.

pic.twitter.com/7a58KMdj7V Robles would leave the game with the assistance of trainers and eventually boarded the back of a cart, holding onto his left wrist as he was being taken off the field.

To add insult to injury for Robles, the Giants would win the game on the very next pitch.

Sundays catch against the Giants was one of the highlights of his time in Seattle thus far ...

but it was quickly dampened by an apparent injury that was followed immediately by a walk-off loss.
