Braves' Ronald Acuña Jr. Trolls Brother Luisangel After Win vs. Mets

Reigning NL MVP Ronald Acuna Jr.
got the first laugh against his brother, New York Mets shortstop Luisangel Acuna, after the Atlanta Braves' 5-1 win over the Mets on Tuesday night.
Ronald trolled his brother on Instagram by writing, "Welcome to ATL BRO" and tagging Luisangel following the game.
This trolling was foreshadowed earlier in the day when Luisangel told reporters that he knew Ronald was going to write exactly what he did if the Mets lost the series to the Braves.
The brothers were able to share a moment before the series opener by swapping jerseys.
Ronald, who is out for the season with a torn ACL, was able to watch his brother play in just his 10th MLB game in the dugout.
Ronald may have gotten ahead of himself because the Braves and Mets still have two more games to play at Truist Park on Wednesday and Thursday.
This series is critical in the NL wild card race.
The Mets are currently the No.
2 wild card with an 87-70 record, but there is only one game separating them from the Arizona Diamondbacks (87-71) and Braves (86-71).
The Braves own the head-to-head tiebreaker over Arizona and can secure the tiebreaker over the Mets with one more victory.
This scenario would allow the Braves to finish with the same record as either or both teams they are currently chasing and make the postseason potentially as the No.
4 seed.
The difference between being the fourth seed compared to the five or six is getting to host the best-of-three Wild Card series.
Luisangel Acuna was acquired by the Mets from the Texas Rangers in July 2023 as part of the Max Scherzer trade.
The 22-year-old was called up on Sept.
14 due to Francisco Lindor's back injury..
