Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (4-8)SYRACUSE 6, LEHIGH VALLEY 2 (BOX)On paper, it shouldve been a pitching duel; Brandon Sproat taking the ball for the Mets and Mick Abel on the mound for the IronPigs.

In reality, its early/mid-April and the weather was a cloudy and slightly wet 43-degrees at gametime.

Sproat pitched four-plus innings and Abel five, neither really showing off their best stuff.

The Syracuse lineup touched up Abel a bit, and the Syracuse bullpen was stronger than the Lehigh Valley BP.CF Jose Azocar: 1-4, R, BB, 2 K, CS (1)LF Billy McKinney: 0-3, R, BB, 3 KDH Jon Singleton: 0-3, R, BB, K1B Joey Meneses: 2-4, 2B, 3 RBI, K2B Niko Goodrum: 1-4, R, HR (1), RBI, K3B Luke Ritter: 1-4, KSS Donovan Walton: 2-4, R, HR (1), RBIRF Gilberto Celestino: 1-3, R, BB, KC Jakson Reetz: 0-4, 2 KRHP Brandon Sproat: 4.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 KRHP Sean Reid-Foley: 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 KRHP Dedniel Nunez: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 1 KLHP Genesis Cabrera: 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, HBP, W (1-0)RHP Ty Adcock: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 KDouble-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (2-4) POSTPONED (INCLEMENT WEATHER)High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (5-3)GAME ONEHUDSON VALLEY 2, BROOKLYN 0 / 7 (BOX)The Cyclones were unfortunately shutout by southpaw Kyle Carr and the Renegade bullpen, their first of the season.

Joel Diaz and Brendan Girton both pitched well, but the offense couldnt seem to get things together and cash in with men in scoring position.SS Boston Baro: 1-4, K, E (1)CF Rafael Ortega: 0-4, SB (2)3B Jacob Reimer: 2-4, 2BDH Carson Benge: 0-2, 2 BB, KLF Eli Serrano III: 0-4C Chris Suero: 1-3, 2B, KRF DAndre Smith: 1-32B Nick Roselli: 0-2, BB, K1B Estarling Mercado: 1-2, BBRHP Joel Diaz: 4.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 KRHP Brendan Girton: 3.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K, L (0-1)GAME TWOBROOKLYN 2, HUDSON VALLEY 1 / 7 (BOX)Nick Roselli doubled in a pair with bases loaded in the third, and that would be all Brooklyn needed to split the doubleheader.

Optimally, they wouldve scored some more runs, but as long as they get the dub in the end, it doesnt really matter.

Zach Thornton had another good outing, and while the bullpen behind him bent a bit, they did not break.CF Eli Serrano III: 0-2, BB3B Jacob Reimer: 0-2, R, BB, K1B Chris Suero: 0-2, R, BBC Ronald Hernandez: 0-2, K, HBP2B Nick Roselli: 1-3, 2 RBI, KLF Troy Schreffler Jr.: 0-3, 2 KDH Jefrey De Los Santos: 0-3, KRF Diego Mosquera: 1-3SS Kevin Villavicencio: 1-2, CS (1)RHP Zach Thornton: 5.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, HBP, W (2-0)RHP Ryan Lambert: 1.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, H (1)RHP Saul Garcia: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 0 K, S (1)Single-A: St.

LUCIE 10, LAKELAND 3 (BOX)St.

Lucie was able to get back to the .500 mark with an emphatic win over the Flying Tigers.

Jeremy Vargas, A.J.

Ewing, Daiverson Gutierrez, Simon Juan, and Vincent Perozo all had multi-hit games, with the rest of the line-up except pinch hitter/third baseman Yonatan Henriquez and DH Colin Houck getting on base at least once.

On the pitching side of things, Matthew Allan continued to make the case that he is not to be forgotten by tossing an additional three plus innings of scoreless ball.

The right-hander threw 47 pitches, mainly relying on a cutter and his fastball.

His cutter got 11 swings and 4 swings-and-misses, while his fastball got 10 swings and just one swing-and-miss.SS Marco Vargas: 2-4, 3 R, 2B, BB, K, SB (1)SS Jeremy Rodriguez: 0-0, BB2B Trey Snyder: 0-5, R, RBI, BB, KCF A.J.
