First one in, first one out.

Thats the markings of a good quarterback, and Spencer Rattler is already exhibiting those traits.

The New Orleans Saints dont begin voluntary offseason workouts until Monday April 14.

Rattler shared a photo on Instagram Saturday morning from the Saints practice facility.

This comes on the heels of the news Derek Carr may not be able to play this season.

The injury news is a force multiplier on the importance of this offseason for the second-year quarterback.

Kellen Moore has previously stated how important the second offseason is for a player.

Players are more familiar with the schedule and get a true break between seasons opposed to going from college to draft prep to NFL workouts.

Its a critical point of development for Rattler and Carrs injury expedites the timeline.

Its unknown what the Saints will do in the NFL draft, but Rattler is poised to lead the team through the at least the beginning of workouts.

The leadership of being one of the first in the building is a small but valuable trait.

Weve seen Rattlers workouts this offseason, so this doesnt prove his work ethic.

It could show his teammates hes ready to seize the opportunity.
