Jacob deGrom is struggling to start his 2025 season.

Those issues continued on Friday as deGrom struggled throughout his outing in Seattle, tossing four innings but allowing three runs on three hits and four walks.

Didnt do anything well, deGrom said to MLB.coms Josh Kirshenbaum after his recent outing against the Seattle Mariners.

Didnt locate well.

Walked four guys.

Didnt hold runners.

With two strikes, didnt locate well.

Was all over the place.

Put us in a bad spot, and the bullpen had to cover a lot of innings." Thats on me, Ive got to do a better job, His velocity was down from his usual triple-digit prowess, leaving fans online to all have a similar reaction to his velocity struggles.

Watching Jacob deGrom give up hits and runs is way more uncomfortable than not watching him pitch at all.

Pretty sure he didnt give up a single hit or run from 2018 to 2024.

deGrom should be fine, as the greats always find a way to make it happen, but the slow start to 2025 is a bit concerning for the man who signed a 5 year, $185,000,000 contract with Texas in the winter of 2022.

Then I get out there and everythings kind of up.

Its the same thing that happened against Tampa.

You look at that outing, they laid off really good sliders because thats the only thing thats down.

No fastballs are located down.

Ive just got to do a better job of throwing the ball where I want to, and thats the bottom line..
