Warriors' Steve Kerr makes shocking admission about Jonathan Kuminga | Sporting News

Jonathan Kuminga has not had the close to his season that he would've liked.
The Warriors 22-year old has shown flashes throughout his career when given good opportunity, but lately, the minutes have dried up.
Golden State coach Steve Kerr explained why in a pretty bold way on 95.7 The Game on Thursday.
"The lineup with Jimmy (Butler), Jonathan and Draymond (Green) doesnt fit real well, frankly," Kerr said.
"It just doesnt.
We need more spacing.
Weve found other lineups that have clicked, and this is just part of the deal, being in the NBA, and youve got to adapt to whatevers happening with the team." MORE: Warriors' playoff scenarios have this path to 6-seed, matchup with Lakers Kerr did praise the way Kuminga is handling the situation.
Jonathans done a great job of that," Kerr said.
"Hes working hard.
Hes playing well when hes out there.
But Im just going with the line of combinations that I think are going to give us the best chance to win, and theres going to be nights where hes absolutely part of that like the Lakers game, and then theres theres going to be nights where I go to Buddy (Hield) or Moses (Moody) or Gary Payton.
It just changes every game based on whats happening, and I have to read that as a coach.
Kuminga is averaging four fewer points per game since returning from an ankle injury after the acquisition of Butler.
