Offseason programs are underway for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are able to get an early start compared to most of the NFL because they have a first-year head coach in Liam Coen. These voluntary programs began on Tuesday for the Jaguars, and on Wednesday, Coen was available to speak with the media.

Here are the highlights from the interview.- Coen said right now, early on, they are trying to establish the fundamentals and technique of the scheme, along with further implementing the culture.

- Coen said conversations are still ongoing regarding Devin Lloyd's fifth-year option.

He adds they are excited about his versatility and experience.

- Coen says that even though they aren't on the field this time of the year, the toughness element can still be implemented with how the Jaguars go through meetings and their day to day work.- With 10 draft picks, the Jaguars are going to lean on some of those players to play right away.

They have a long-term vision, but are focused on winning right now as well.- Coen said they held a team meeting on the style of play he wants the Jaguars to have.

There was also a culture meeting with the entire organization on what the culture is going to look like.- "Everything is moving forward.

He feels really good right now," Coen said of Trevor Lawrence and his shoulder.

Coen mentions that he may be on a pitch count early on once they get on the field in the spring.- "Very high," said Coen on the participation during this voluntary portion of the offseason.- "Before we can do anything, we have to show them we care," said Coen about his relationship with the players.

- "We're always looking to add to the roster," said Coen when asked about the offensive line.

He adds that the players brought in can compete and help elevate the room.- On both offense and defense, as the Jaguars build who they are going to be as a team schematically, the coaches will pull things from different places they've been like LA (Coen), Minnesota (Grant Udinski), and Green Bay (Anthony Campanile), but Coen added that it's also about molding those concepts to what the players do well and their skill sets.

That's how these offensive and defensive systems become their own, even if they have underlying tendencies from previous stops the coaches have had.- Coen discussed the importance of footwork for a quarterback, which Lawrence is focusing on this offseason.

When a quarterback has confidence in that ability, when things break down during a play, there is still a strong fundamental foundation in place. This article originally appeared on Jaguars Wire: Jaguars offseason programs: Highlights from Liam Coen's press conference.
