ACC announces Pitt basketball's full 2024-25 conference schedule

24Six months ago, the Pitt men's basketball team was left on the outside looking in of the NCAA tournament and the sting of that defeat has lingered throughout the offseason.
Now, its chance for redemption is right around the corner.
The ACC revealed the full conference schedule for all 17 teams on Tuesday afternoon in anticipation of the start of conference play and with that, the Panthers have rounded out a full slate of 31 games.
A day before the announcement of the full schedule, the ACC revealed that the Panthers would open their 2024-25 conference slate on the road at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
Then some of the conference's new blood, Cal and Stanford, will make their first visits to the Petersen Events Center on Jan.
1 and 4, respectively.
Pitt draws its first marquee matchup of the year on the road at Duke on Jan.

The Panthers' 80-76 upset of the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium propelled them to a 10-3 finish to the regular season.
North Carolina, Syracuse and Louisville are home-and-home partners with Pitt.
The Cardinals will visit Pittsburgh on Jan.
11, the Tar Heels on Jan.
28 and the Orange on Feb.
18.
Pitt's second ACC road trip will come on Jan.
15 when they travel to Florida State.
After a home game against Clemson three days later, the Panthers get a week off before playing Syracuse for the first time.
Three of Pitt's first four games in the month of February will be on the road at Wake Forest, North Carolina and SMU.
A visit to Dallas to play the Mustangs will be this team's farthest trip west during the 2024-25 season.
Their next two games against Miami and Syracuse will be at home on Feb.
15 and 18.
Pitt will close out the regular season by playing three of five on the road on Feb.
22 at Notre Dame, March 1 at Louisville and at N.C.
State on March 5.
Senior night will be on March 8 against Boston College.
The Panthers will open the regular season on Nov.
4 against Radford.
Their non-conference slate includes five games against power conference opponents, headlined by the Backyard Brawl's return to Petersen Events Center and a road game against Ohio State on Black Friday.
Women's slate revealed The Pitt women's basketball also learned its full schedule an hour prior to the men.
The Panthers will open their ACC slate on Dec.
15 at Petersen Events Center against Miami.
It won't be until two weeks later that they pick the conference slate back up with back-to-back road games at Georgia Tech and Duke.
The Panthers will return home on Jan.
9 to play four of their next five games at home Louisville, ACC newcomer SMU, North Carolina and Virginia Tech will sandwich a trip down to Raleigh, N.C., to face perennial national power N.C.
State.
They will then fly to the west coast for games against Stanford on Jan.
30 and Cal and Feb.
2.
Three of the Panthers' next four games will come at home against Boston College, Notre Dame and Virginia, with a Feb.
9 visit to SMU fit in between.
One more home game on Feb.
23 against Clemson will serve as Senior Night, but road games at Florida State, Syracuse and Wake Forest will close out Pitt's regular season.
Pitt finished the 8-24 overall and 2-16 in ACC play a year ago under first-year head coach Tori Verdi and will look to show improvements in the new year.
