James Worthy praises Chicago Bulls star who destroyed the LA Lakers, ‘he’s really improved...’

James Worthy heaped praise on Chicago Bulls guard for his performance in the teams 146-115 win against the LA Lakers.

With LeBron James and Rui Hachimura back, the Purple and Gold had their complete line-up, but the Bulls were too good to be stopped on the night.

Rookie Matias Buzelis scored a career-high 31 points on 66.7% shooting from the field, while Josh Giddey once again put up a special performance almost recording a quadruple double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 17 assists and 8 steals.

The Lakers were in the game until halftime as they only trailed the Bulls by three points, but a stellar 81-point second half performance by Billy Donovans men helped them secure a dominant win on the road.

It was a complete team performance by the Chicago Bulls with all starters scoring in double figures, but it was Bulls guard Coby White who grabbed Lakers legend James Worthys attention.

Speaking about White in his post-game analysis on Access Sportsnet, Worthy said: Hes really improved his game man, hes got confidence now on the inside, and going to the cup hes very tricky, how he can get to the cup and make some acrobatic shots.

Hes a leader too on this team, I was impressed with Cobys game.

Praise was warranted for White as he has been performing well for the Bulls in his last ten games, averaging 28.4 points on 48.3% shooting from the field.

He is taking more shots than ever and is proving to the league that he could be an All-Star calibre player.

The Bulls are currently ninth in the East and they look like a side that are certainly going to be in the play-in competition.

With White and Giddey, the Bulls have an exciting backcourt, although they are not expected to make any noise in the playoffs, they could take some experience of being in the postseason and come back stronger next year.
