Tanner Bibee will take the mound on Opening Day with a lot more financial security.

The Cleveland Guardians right-handed ace is the proud owner of a new contract.

He and the team agreed on Saturday to the deal, five days before Bibee takes the ball in the opener.

The 24-year old's extension equates to five years and $48 million.

He has struck out 328 hitters in 315.2 innings.
