A few weeks after his sudden retirement from college football in January , former Alabama coach Nick Saban used a roundtable with politicians in Washington to explain why he quit his job without actually saying it.
Its whoever wants to pay the most money, raise the most money, buy the most players, is going to have the best opportunity to win.
I dont think thats the spirit of college athletics, and I dont think its ever been the spirit of what we want college athletics to be, Saban said at a public event hosted by Sen.
