The New England Patriots are one of the NFLs most improved teams of the offseason after making significant investments on both sides of the ball.

Yet, they still have at least one more impact addition on the way via the fourth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Since they wont be using their draft selection on a quarterback this year, the Patriots know theyll be in position to land an elite talent such as Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Mason Graham, Will Campbell, or even Ashton Jeanty.

In other words, the Patriots can draft the best player available, and ESPNs Matt Miller believes that will be University of Colorados Travis Hunter, college footballs reigning Heisman Winner.

Because of their free agency moves, the Patriots have an almost unlimited number of options with this pick, Miller wrote.

New England would be very lucky to have the Heisman Trophy winner fall to this spot.

Hunter would be a day one starter at cornerback opposite Christian Gonzalez while working in 10-15 snaps per game in a revived receiving corps that recently added Stefon Diggs.

At 6 feet and 188 pounds, he doesn't have massive size, but his quickness is elite and his ball skills are legendary.

It's not unrealistic that Hunter could be Odell Beckham Jr.

on offense and Denzel Ward on defense.

New England's coaching staff would have fun devising ways to get him involved.

Getting Hunter is like adding two players in one.

Whether he becomes an immediate superstar or not, hed undeniably be a roster upgrade in New England.

4 is nearly unfathomable, but its a very realistic scenario while other teams address other needs.

Thus, if Hunter really is available when the Patriots are on the clock, they would indeed be very lucky as Miller projected.
