2025 NFL mock draft roundup: Experts split on Shedeur Sanders' landing spot

The 2025 NFL draft kicks off in less than a month.
Come April 24, the three-day event will see hundreds of college stars make their way to the professional level.
For the first time since the league expanded to 32 teams in 2002, all 32 teams are set to own their own first-round pick. This may be an unprecedented draft already with the potential for more history on the way.
Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter could play both wide receiver and cornerback in the NFL and is one of the consensus best players.Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward put on a good showing at his pro day and remains the favorite for the first overall pick.
After that, there are a slew of different ways the first round could play out. This draft is strong on the defensive line, both at edge and on the interior.
It's also one of the deepest running back classes in the modern era with starting-caliber prospects available into Day 3 of the draft.
Tight end and guard are also two of the deeper positions. To parse out some of the possibilities for the first round, we've compiled mock draft predictions from experts at the 33rd Team, The Athletic, Pro Football Focus and Yahoo Sports.
Here's how their predictions compare:2025 NFL mock draft roundup1.
Tennessee Titans33rd Team: Cam Ward, QB, MiamiThe Athletic: Cam Ward, QB, MiamiPro Football Focus: Cam Ward, QB, MiamiYahoo Sports: Cam Ward, QB, Miami33rd Team:"With Ward in the driver's seat for the QB1 role and some creative parallels to some of the better quarterbacks in the league, the vision in Tennessee appears to be clear.
Look for the Titans to add a new name to the list of young guns in the AFC."Yahoo Sports:"Wards combination of calm demeanor and creativity makes him a fun watch, with a higher floor than youd think.
The Titans beefed up their offensive line and could nab another weapon later in the draft to pair with Calvin Ridley and create a fairly healthy ecosystem to drop Ward into."2.
Cleveland Browns33rd Team: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn StateThe Athletic: Shedeur Sanders, QB, ColoradoPro Football Focus: Shedeur Sanders, QB, ColoradoYahoo Sports: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, ColoradoThe Athletic:"The decision likely comes down to the Browns panic level at quarterback versus maximizing the Myles Garrett investment with arguably the No.
1 overall prospect.
...
Despite his impressive accuracy, some teams see Sanders as a Day 2 selection.
Thats easy to say when your team has an answer at the sports most important position."Yahoo Sports:"The Browns could certainly use a young quarterback to groom, and get out of the ditch theyve dug themselves faster, but with Cam Ward off the board theyll default to the best player in the draft.
Hunter is a legitimate top prospect at either cornerback or wide receiver, so here the Browns take him as they continue to take their medicine with the Deshaun Watson contract."3.
New York Giants33rd Team: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, ColoradoThe Athletic: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, ColoradoPro Football Focus: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn StateYahoo Sports: Shedeur Sanders, QB, ColoradoThe Athletic:"The Giants could take a standout at No.
3 such as Hunter and trade for a second first-round pick, or they could hold the powder and take a second-round flier.
Theres talent on the roster, but the lack of quarterback upside curtails any optimism."Pro Football Focus:"It's hard not to see some Micah Parsons in Carter, who not only wears the same No.
11 but also pops off the screen nearly every play due to being a rare caliber athlete.
If he can get even stronger, he has All-Pro potential as a player worthy of a top-five pick."4.
New England Patriots33rd Team: Armand Membou, OT, MissouriThe Athletic: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn StatePro Football Focus: Armand Membou, OT, MissouriYahoo Sports: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri33rd Team:"New England's draw here at No.
4 comes down to drafting for Drake Maye.
The team spent aggressively in free agency to raise the floor of the defense they've successfully done that. Now the question becomes, who offers the best opportunity to help Maye become the quarterback the Patriots will need him to be? That answer, despite the addition of Morgan Moses in free agency, is clearly Membou."The Athletic:"The Patriots face a comparable scenario to the Browns: Choose between the primary need offensive tackle to help protect Maye or the top player available.
This choice becomes easier when the prospect considered No.
1 in the class who plays a core position is available at No.
4."5.
Jacksonville Jaguars33rd Team: Mason Graham, DT, MichiganThe Athletic: Mason Graham, DT, MichiganPro Football Focus: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, ColoradoYahoo Sports: Mason Graham, DT, MichiganPro Football Focus:"As a cornerback, [Hunter] brings good mirror-matching movements and truly elite ball skills.
He can be a bit out of control and lacks some density, which gets exposed the most in press-man coverage.
As a primary zone defender with press-man flexibility, he can be an immediate starting cornerback with an All-Pro ceiling."Yahoo Sports:"The Jaguars could go in a variety of directions here, but end up with the explosive Graham.
His arm length (32 inches at the combine) might scare off some teams, but new Jaguars general manager James Gladstone comes from the Rams, a place that has been more than fine with taking players who may lack ideal measurements or backgrounds but whose play does the talking.
Graham in between Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker would create a dangerous front, while also filling a hole, with an interesting mix of skills."6.
Las Vegas Raiders33rd Team: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise StateThe Athletic: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise StatePro Football Focus: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, ArizonaYahoo Sports: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State33rd Team:"Las Vegas has set the table for Geno Smith quite nicely here in 2025, thanks to their work along the offensive line in years past.
Now, they're a team as well prepped as any to add one of the best overall players in the class despite his positional value."Pro Football Focus:"McMillan has All-Pro potential because of his length, athleticism and football intelligence.
He's a smooth criminal of a receiver who was the focal point of Arizona's offense.
He is a unique talent who deserves to be considered in the top 10 of the 2025 NFL Draft."7.
New York Jets33rd Team: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn StateThe Athletic: Armand Membou, OT, MissouriPro Football Focus: Mason Graham, DT, MichiganYahoo Sports: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State33rd Team:"The worst part of this pick for the Jets may just be adding a Penn State alumni among all these former Ohio State Buckeyes.
Justin Fields' new offense has a lot of familiar faces on it but the tight end room is sorely lacking.
If New York is going to maximize Fields' abilities as a dual threat, having a middle-of-the-field target with size who can also block will go a long way."The Athletic:"Membou is one of the high risers in this pre-draft cycle, thanks to a bonkers NFL combine performance.
He might not slip past the Patriots or Raiders.
The 332-pound tackle with mobility and strength played extensively at right tackle in his final two seasons with the Tigers.
Thats where he would line up with 2024 first-rounder Olu Fashanu manning quarterback Justin Fields blindside."8.
Carolina Panthers33rd Team: Mykel Williams, Edge, GeorgiaThe Athletic: Jalon Walker, LB/Edge, GeorgiaPro Football Focus: Jalon Walker, LB/Edge, GeorgiaYahoo Sports: Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&MThe Athletic:"The pass rush hasnt resurfaced following the Brian Burns trade.
The Panthers tied for 29th with 32 sacks in 2024.
Walker was the Bulldogs defensive leader and is a future force, whether at off-ball linebacker or off the edge.
Theres a case for assisting quarterback Bryce Young by taking the first primary pass catcher."Yahoo Sports:"Stewarts production makes him a risk, but for a team that needs juice off the edge like the Panthers, his potential makes him an intriguing dice roll at the top of the draft.
Some teams will look at Stewarts build and his 4.59 40-yard dash from the scouting combine and fall in love sooner than later.
According to TruMedia, the Panthers defense finished dead last in pressure percentage last season (25.2%).
This may be the type of risk the Panthers are willing to take."9.
New Orleans Saints33rd Team: Shedeur Sanders, QB, ColoradoThe Athletic: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn StatePro Football Focus: Mykel Williams, Edge, GeorgiaYahoo Sports: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan33rd Team:"This pick may be a bit of a surprise but the Spencer Rattler experience in 2024 shouldn't be a deterrent from the Saints drafting a potential starter if they feel Sanders can fit the bill.
Getting a transition away from Derek Carr's contract will go a long way in the Saints getting out of such an extreme salary cap cycle, and Sanders feels like an admirable fit for Kellen Moore's offense."Pro Football Focus:"Williams is a long, strong, versatile edge prospect whose motor is always running hot.
His pass-rush profile and consistency (win percentage) are lower than ideal for a projected top-20 pick, but his floor as an elite run defender is so high, and his build is so alluring, that he's worth taking the chance on in that range for a team running odd or even fronts."10.
Chicago Bears33rd Team: Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&MThe Athletic: Mykel Williams, Edge, GeorgiaPro Football Focus: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise StateYahoo Sports: Will Campbell, OT, LSUPro Football Focus:"Jeanty is a total-package backfield playmaker with impressive balance, footwork, vision, explosiveness and big-play ability reminiscent of Alvin Kamara.
He is a first-round offensive weapon who can succeed behind any blocking scheme."Yahoo Sports:"The Bears have completely revamped the interior of their offensive line and now they find a long-term option at left tackle to finish their efforts up front.
Campbell, Joe Thuney, Drew Dalman and Jonah Jackson would be a massive improvement over what they had last year and they already have a quality player at right tackle in Darnell Wright.
Campbell could go much higher than this, so this is a nice get for the Bears."11.
San Francisco 49ers33rd Team: Kenneth Grant, DT, MichiganThe Athletic: Will Campbell, OT, LSUPro Football Focus: Will Campbell, OT, LSUYahoo Sports: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon33rd Team:"San Francisco's exodus of talent leaves them looking at the early chapters of the next lifecycle of the team.
Pillar pieces such as Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey remain but how do you best build around that? The 49ers get back to basics here and secure a supersized monster in the middle with the athleticism to play on all three downs."The Athletic:"The 49ers released/traded numerous talented players or passed on re-signing free agents to clear salary-cap space with heavy losses on both lines.
Campbell is considered the surest offensive lineman in the draft but with shorter-than-desired arm length.
San Francisco might begin Campbells career at guard while developing the 2024 All-American into the eventual Trent Williams replacement at left tackle."12.
Dallas Cowboys33rd Team: Will Campbell, OT, LSUThe Athletic: Matthew Golden, WR, TexasPro Football Focus: Luther Burden III, WR, MissouriYahoo Sports: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, ArizonaThe Athletic:"Former Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson held a two-word roster-building philosophy: speed kills.
His old boss and current Dallas owner/general manager, Jerry Jones, should embrace that approach.
Golden took the silver at the combine with the second-fastest 40-yard dash time (4.29).
The Cowboys require a WR2 boost regardless."Pro Football Focus:"Burden is an ideal 'five-tool,' multi-sport athlete for the receiver position in the NFL.
The first-round talent is as well-rounded as they come, displaying the ability to succeed at any receiver spot in any offense."13.
Miami Dolphins33rd Team: Jahdae Barron, CB, TexasThe Athletic: Jahdae Barron, CB, TexasPro Football Focus: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, TexasYahoo Sports: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia33rd Team:"Defensively, Miami seems to be banking on the return of injured stars Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips to boost the front while remaking the secondary.
They're still missing a third corner that you can feel good about, but they land him here with Texas' Jahdae Barron."Yahoo Sports:"Jevon Holland left for the Giants in free agency, and while the Dolphins signed a couple of veterans at the position, Starks would give them a fun chess piece to be used around the defensive back end."14.
Indianapolis Colts33rd Team: Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota StateThe Athletic: Colston Loveland, TE, MichiganPro Football Focus: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn StateYahoo Sports: Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia33rd Team:"Indianapolis has been a team whose identity frequently has lived and died with the offensive line.
Zabel's selection here helps in more ways than one.
He serves as a potential replacement for Will Fries at guard and as insurance for any regression by Tanor Bortolini, assuring that the Colts' strength up front remains a strength."The Athletic:"Whether Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones wins the starting quarterback job, the Colts are overdue to add more weapons on offense.
The tight end corps is particularly unimpressive.
The 6-6 Loveland puts a tall target on the field, one capable of running receiver routes."15.
Atlanta Falcons33rd Team: Will Johnson, CB, MichiganThe Athletic: Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&MPro Football Focus: Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&MYahoo Sports: Jalon Walker, LB/Edge, Georgia33rd Team:"The stock feels down for Will Johnson across the draft landscape but there's only so far a talent like this can slide before it's too good to be true.
Johnson's pairing with A.J.
Terrell gives Raheem Morris more confidence on the back end to play as aggressively as he wants to with his pass rush."Pro Football Focus:"Stewart is a scheme-versatile, high-potential athlete who is still working on winning his reps with technique and discipline as much as athletic ability.
His lack of production throughout his college career speaks to the lack of refinement in his game, but he is built like a future NFL player and should be a Day 1 pick because of it."16.
Arizona Cardinals33rd Team: Jihaad Campbell, LB, AlabamaThe Athletic: Jihaad Campbell, LB, AlabamaPro Football Focus: Mike Green, Edge, MarshallYahoo Sports: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio StatePro Football Focus:"Green has only two years of starting experience and not the best competition to measure NFL talent over the past two years.
However, he absolutely dominated the way you'd want a future NFL player to with elite pass-rush and run-defense grades in addition to high-90th-percentile numbers in win rate and run stops.
He has top-50 all-around ability and projects as a starting-caliber outside linebacker in a 3-4 front."Yahoo Sports:"Offensive tackle isnt the biggest need for Arizona, but the Cardinals can potentially get a huge boon pick here with Simmons.
He is one of the more athletic OTs in the draft, but a patellar tendon injury may have him getting off to a slower start to his NFL career.
Jonah Williams is likely going to start again at right tackle for the Cardinals, but Simmons gives them a long-term option to pair with Paris Johnson Jr."17.
Cincinnati Bengals33rd Team: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, TexasThe Athletic: TRADE to Los Angeles Chargers; Will Johnson, CB, MichiganPro Football Focus: Kenneth Grant, DT, MichiganYahoo Sports: Tyler Booker, G, Alabama33rd Team:"Cincinnati's offensive spending may suggest this team needs to draft early on defense.
While that's certainly true, the team actually does have youth invested there, with Myles Murphy, Kris Jenkins, DJ Turner, McKinnley Jackson, Jordan Battle, Dax Hill, and Cam Taylor-Britt all present as top-100 draft picks in the last few years. With the spending going up, getting a young name in place to potentially take over for Orlando Brown Jr.
long-term (and an immediate upgrade at guard) makes plenty of sense, too."The Athletic:"Jim Harbaugh trading up for a different Michigan man (Loveland) would be the ideal use of the Chargers draft capital (10 selections).
The pivot turns to cornerback and jumping the Buccaneers at No.
19 after losing Kristian Fulton in free agency, and Asante Samuel Jr.
remains unsigned.
Johnsons impressive 6-2 size, playmaking and familiarity with the Chargers coaching staff make for a smooth transition."18.
Seattle Seahawks33rd Team: Matthew Golden, WR, TexasThe Athletic: Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota StatePro Football Focus: Matthew Golden, WR, TexasYahoo Sports: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn StatePro Football Focus:"Golden is a talented player whose movement skills should translate well to the NFL.
His advanced avenues of success whether through beating press, impressive footwork, after-the-catch ability or kick-return prowess make him a player who could be a high-end WR2 in the league."Yahoo Sports:"Tight ends play a big role in the offense that new coordinator Klint Kubiak is installing in Seattle, but the Seahawks dont have a big-time talent at tight end.
Insert Warren, who is one of the best players in the draft and could be a steal in Seattles offense given his athleticism and wide array of skills."19.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers33rd Team: Jalon Walker, LB/Edge, GeorgiaThe Athletic: Nick Emmanwori, S, South CarolinaPro Football Focus: Jahdae Barron, CB, TexasYahoo Sports: Jihaad Campbell, LB, AlabamaThe Athletic:"The secondary lacks needed quality, especially at cornerback, but safety offers the best options with Barron and Will Johnson off the board.
Emmanwori is an athletic freak the 6-3 safety popped at the combine with a 4.38 40-yard time and 43-inch vertical jump who returned two of his four interceptions last season for touchdowns."Yahoo Sports:"One of my favorite player-team-need fits of this draft.
The Buccaneers' roster could look to add a pass rusher here, instead go with Campbell to bridge between now and a post-Lavonte David world.
Campbell is a real three-down off-ball linebacker whose pass rushing ability would be unlocked in Todd Bowles' aggressive scheme."20.
Denver Broncos33rd Team: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, ArizonaThe Athletic: Omarion Hampton, RB, North CarolinaPro Football Focus: Malaki Starks, S, GeorgiaYahoo Sports: Omarion Hampton, RB, North CarolinaThe Athletic:"Is Sean Paytons offense better served drafting a wide receiver or helping a weaponless running back room? At least new tight end Evan Engram gives second-year quarterback Bo Nix another target."Pro Football Focus:"Starks was a playmaker in the SEC for three straight seasons.
He brings good football IQ, tackling and movement ability to play free, strong and slot.
He isn't a rare athlete, but he's a starting-caliber player for the backend of any defense."21.
Pittsburgh Steelers33rd Team: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole MissThe Athletic: Kenneth Grant, DT, MichiganPro Football Focus: Omarion Hampton, RB, North CarolinaYahoo Sports: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan33rd Team:"The buzz is too hot to ignore at this point.
Jaxson Dart is likely going in the first round.
Some of that is potential, some of that is position, and some of that is supply and demand at quarterback. The good news? Pittsburgh has already done a lot of heavy lifting across the rest of the roster after trading for DK Metcalf, signing Darius Slay, and adding Juan Thornhill and Malik Harrison as depth pieces."The Athletic:"Theres ample speculation about the Steelers drafting the third quarterback, presumably Dart.
Waiting for Aaron Rodgers suggests heightened urgency.
Therefore, Pittsburgh targets a possible Week 1 interior starting lineman on either side of the ball."22.
Los Angeles Chargers33rd Team: Colston Loveland, TE, MichiganThe Athletic: TRADE to Cincinnati Bengals; Malaki Starks, S, GeorgiaPro Football Focus: Will Johnson, CB, MichiganYahoo Sports: Mike Green, Edge, MarshallThe Athletic:"Trading down for more picks the Bengals have six helps the front office add more rookie contract talent to offset the significant spending for JaMarr Chase, Tee Higgins and possibly Trey Hendrickson.
This selection must go for defense, whether the line or secondary.
The safety position fell apart following Jessie Bates departure in 2023."Yahoo Sports:"With Joey Bosa gone and Khalil Mack on a one-year deal, the Chargers could use a boost and infusion of youth to their edge rush.
Enter Green, who falls a bit here despite leading the NCAA in sacks last season."23.
Green Bay Packers33rd Team: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa StateThe Athletic: Derrick Harmon, DT, OregonPro Football Focus: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio StateYahoo Sports: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina33rd Team:"The Packers must address their needs at edge rusher and cornerback.
GM Brian Gutekunst swung big in free agency for an add at corner (Nate Hobbs), but both positions remain in limbo. The Packers have traditionally spent their early capital on the defensive side of the ball, and a talent like Darien Porter fits the bill of what a first-rounder looks like on the perimeter these days."Yahoo Sports:"Whatever the conclusion is of the Jaire Alexander Experience, the Packers look to find his successor (and the successor to the recently departed Eric Stokes).
Revel injured his knee early in the 2024 season, but his body of work was already pointing toward the first round.
He has the size, twitch and most of all the toughness to be an impact player on the outside."24.
Minnesota Vikings33rd Team: Maxwell Hairston, CB, KentuckyThe Athletic: TRADE to New York Giants; Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole MissPro Football Focus: Nick Emmanwori, S, South CarolinaYahoo Sports: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas33rd Team:"Hairston was one of the hottest names of the 2025 NFL Combine.
His positional value with burst and ball skills playing in Brian Flores' defense feels like a match made in heaven.
The signings of Isaiah Rodgers and Jeff Okudah shouldn't prevent the Vikings from taking a good fit at corner, either."The Athletic:"Is talk of Dart going top 10 sincere, overcooked analysis or a reminder of what desperate teams will do for the king of NFL positions? The three-year starter led the SEC in completion percentage (69.3) and passing yards (4,279) last season."25.
Houston Texans33rd Team: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio StateThe Athletic: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, ArizonaPro Football Focus: Colston Loveland, TE, MichiganYahoo Sports: Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota State33rd Team:"Houston's offensive line overhaul has been marked by a number of acquisitions of veteran players.
...
It buys the Texans enough wiggle room to go wide receiver here with this pick, where Nico Collins serves as a headliner and is complemented by new names like Justin Watson, Christian Kirk, and Braxton Berrios.
None should prevent Houston from grabbing Egbuka to help fill the void that Tank Dell's absence will feel."Pro Football Focus:"Loveland lacks the density to play as an inline tight end consistently in the NFL, but he brings plenty of value as a tall, long pass catcher with natural hands and crisp routes to line up as a big slot or 'X' receiver.
He also has some versatility to play attached to the line of scrimmage in certain situations."26.
Los Angeles Rams33rd Team: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLAThe Athletic: TRADE to Buffalo Bills; Mike Green, Edge, MarshallPro Football Focus: Jihaad Campbell, LB, AlabamaYahoo Sports: Colston Loveland, TE, MichiganThe Athletic:"The Bills (10 picks) get ahead of the Ravens and Lions in pursuit of edge-rusher help.
Free-agent signing Joey Bosa is Greg Rousseaus tag-team partner for 2025, while Green, last seasons FBS leader with 17 sacks, adjusts going from the Thundering Herd to the NFL.
Green could be among the first 15 picks if teams are comfortable with his off-the-field controversies."Pro Football Focus:"Campbell has the ideal build and athletic ability to play any linebacker spot, but he projects best to a Mike or Sam in 4-3 schemes or a Mike/EDGE in a 3-4.
He must continue to develop anticipation and strength, but he has the mold of an All-Pro player."27.
Baltimore Ravens33rd Team: Malaki Starks, S, GeorgiaThe Athletic: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston CollegePro Football Focus: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston CollegeYahoo Sports: Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio StatePro Football Focus:"Ezeiruaku is a smaller outside linebacker-type edge rusher who can struggle with the power aspects of the game.
However, his quick, smooth style paired with high football IQ and some very nice bend make him an ideal 3-4 pass rush type of defender."Yahoo Sports:"While Jacksons film at tackle was surprisingly encouraging, I view him best as a guard.
He has length and the explosive strength to really jar holes open.
His ability to bump outside in case of emergency is a bonus, and his size fits right in with the Ravens' pretty robust line (sans Tyler Linderbaum)."28.
Detroit Lions33rd Team: Tyler Booker, G, AlabamaThe Athletic: James Pearce Jr., Edge, TennesseePro Football Focus: Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota StateYahoo Sports: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas33rd Team:"Detroit likes big-bodied maulers on the front.
Tyler Booker is a big-bodied mauler and plays a position of need for Detroit.
This one is as straightforward as it gets."The Athletic:"Whether an end or tackle, the Lions look for defensive line depth.
The 6-5 Pearces athleticism (his 1.56 time in the 10-yard split led all defensive ends at the combine) and college production (1712 sacks and 28 tackles for loss since 2023) are worthy of top-20 status.
Football character questions seemingly have raised enough eyebrows to drop Pearce into potentially the late first-round range."29.
Washington Commanders33rd Team: Mike Green, Edge, MarshallThe Athletic: TRADE to Cleveland Browns; Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, TexasPro Football Focus: Xavier Watts, S, Notre DameYahoo Sports: James Pearce Jr., Edge, TennesseeThe Athletic:"The run on edge defenders immediately before their pick has the Commanders (five picks) trading down.
The Browns (10 picks) must protect Shedeur Sanders if they take him at No.
2.
Trading up four spots for this future left tackle might be required since the Chiefs (31) and Eagles (32) could justify taking a flier on last seasons Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award winner."Pro Football Focus:"Watts is the best ball-hawking safety in this class, thanks to his intelligence and ability to break on the football."30.
Buffalo Bills33rd Team: Derrick Harmon, DT, OregonThe Athletic: TRADE to Los Angeles Rams; Maxwell Hairston, CB, KentuckyPro Football Focus: Maxwell Hairston, CB, KentuckyYahoo Sports: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina33rd Team:"Buffalo has bulked up on the defensive front with the additions of Joey Bosa, Michael Hoecht, and Larry Ogunjobi.
Long-term, getting a bigger-bodied disruptor like Harmon can help the Bills play their base nickel defense and still hold more firm against the run without compromising pass rush upside."Yahoo Sports:"The Bills need some athleticism and speed at safety, so here comes the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Emmanwori, who was one of the stars of the scouting combine with a 4.38 40-yard dash and a 43-inch vertical.
He would be a nice upgrade over what they have now, even though hes got some room to improve in terms of physicality."31.
Kansas City Chiefs33rd Team: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio StateThe Athletic: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio StatePro Football Focus: James Pearce Jr., Edge, TennesseeYahoo Sports: Matthew Golden, WR, TexasPro Football Focus:"Pearce is the kind of athlete with the production and disruption scores you don't let out of the first round.
His twitchy movements show difference-making NFL traits that can be situational at worst and All-Pro at best."Yahoo Sports:"Offensive line is very much in play here, and there are some interesting names the Chiefs could look at.
They instead dip their pen back into the Longhorn ink and take another Texas wide receiver in Golden.
He is a smooth athlete who can win against press.
He would give Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense yet another weapon to open things up, beat man coverage and hold the fort until Rashee Rice returns from injury."32.
Philadelphia Eagles33rd Team: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston CollegeThe Athletic: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole MissPro Football Focus: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio StateYahoo Sports: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, OregonThe Athletic:"You know the drill.
The Eagles keep the defensive line stocked after losing Milton Williams in free agency.
Trading up for Malaki Starks as the C.J.
Gardner-Johnson replacement is another logical scenario."Yahoo Sports:"Conerly is a perfect stash pick for the Eagles to put behind 34-year-old Lane Johnson.
Conerly is a younger prospect who might benefit from playing behind Johnson for a couple seasons as he finishes out his career in Philadelphia."This article originally appeared on Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: 2025 NFL mock draft roundup: Shedeur Sanders' future unclear.
