Luka Doncic showed LA Lakers fans a glimpse of his brilliance during his 45-point performance against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Despite achieving his scoring record as a Laker, the team suffered a 106-126 loss to the Bucks and are now two games without a win since the LeBron James injury.

Doncic and James were looking extremely dangerous as a duo and with them in the lineup the Purple and Gold were 8-3.

His performances with the Lakers have been great to watch for the fans in LA, but not so much for the Dallas Mavericks faithful.

The Doncic trade to the Lakers in exchange of Anthony Davis was not taken well by the Mavs fans and they have slammed general manager Nico Harrison and the ownership for letting go off their franchise player.

After executing one of the most bizarre trades, Mavs owner Patrick Dumont defended the teams decision by stating it to be a move for the future.

However, it was not taken well by many in the NBA media.

Stephen A.

Smith calls out Mavs owner for his comments on the Luka Doncic trade In an recent interview of Dumont that is making rounds around the internet, he revealed the current roster could instil fear if they got going.

SAS slammed the owner for making the comments in his recent appearance on First Take.

He said: When you try to explain away, trading a 25-year-old global iconic basketball figure, for somebody six years older, who has a injured history albeit not the last two years, thats pretty hard to sell.

Its not like he said this stuff to yall the day the trade took place, this is after Anthony Davis then goes down in his very first game in Dallas, this is after Kyrie Irving tears his ACL, this is after Daniel Gafford and Derreck Lively have been out and you having lost eight of ten games.

To say it then, just doesnt make any sense.

Luka Doncic is going to be key for the Lakers in the playoffs Doncic has been incredible for the Lakers so far, averaging 26 PPG, 8.6 RPG and 7.6 APG in 13 games.

Although his shooting numbers have taken a dip, shooting only 41% from the field, the Slovenian has shown a few moments of magic on the court.

With James on his side, Doncic could wreak havoc in the postseason as the Lakers look to finish in the top four of the West.

In the past, Doncic has had to take the whole offensive burden in the postseason with the Mavericks.

Although he has thrived doing that, his role with the Lakers is going to be a lot different.

Playing in Year 22, James has seen it all and still has what it takes to perform at the highest level.

He will help bring the best out of Doncic and that will be on display in the playoffs.

Doncic has already added a lot of accolades in his short NBA career, but a ring still remains and he will be gunning to end that wait this postseason.
