The Pac-12 is also targeting more Mountain West schools after raiding that conference two weeks ago.
Utah State and UNLV were the main targets for the Pac-12, but the Mountain West was fighting back and working to keep its remaining eight schools together.
Utah State was expected to make the move to the Pac-12, but UNLVs decision remained uncertain, according to one of the people.

He went on to an 11-year NFL career.
Bush is still pursuing the separate defamation lawsuit he filed against the NCAA last year over the governing bodys 2021 characterization of the circumstances that led to Bushs troubles.
