Los Angeles Chargers Sign New Potential Starting Center

Bradley Bozeman started all 17 games at center for the Los Angeles Chargers last season, plus the playoff matchup.
Yet, after ranking 36th among 64 centers graded by Pro Football Focus, theres a sense that the Chargers want to improve along their offensive interior.
The Chargers have already revealed their plans to have former first-round pick Zion Johnson compete at center instead of offensive guard.
Hell be added into the mix along with Bozeman, but now a new contender has entered the ring, and he might even be the favorite to start.
Los Angeles Chargers sign center Andre James It looks like the Los Angeles Chargers will have a lot more competition for the starting center job during training camp this season.
Bradley Bozeman is the incumbent starter, but with room for improvement, its no surprise to learn the Chargers have added another experienced option.
According to the Chargers X page , they have agreed to terms with former Las Vegas Raiders center Andre James .
The terms of James new contract have not yet been revealed to the public.
James is coming off a season in which he started 11 games for the Raiders, where he graded as PFFs 46th-best center in the NFL.
However, the soon-to-be 28-year-old graded as the 11th-best center in 2023, so perhaps theres hope for him to return to his near-elite form now that hes back in Los Angeles after playing for the UCLA Bruins in college.
