Report: Ex-Patriots defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale agrees to sign with the Steelers

Thompson Daniel Ekuale , who started a career-high 16 games for the Patriots last season, has agreed to sign with the Steelers according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman recorded 52 tackles and one sack last season.

His previous career high in tackles was 14 in 2022.

Ekuale signed with the Patriots in 2021 on a reserve/futures contract.

Before joining the Patriots, Ekuale had stints in Cleveland and Jacksonville.

New England, which led the league in rushing yards allowed per carry (3.3) in 2023, slipped to the 14th (4.4 yards per carry) in 2024.

They recorded the fewest sacks in the NFL (28) last season.

Ekuale will head back to the AFC North for a new opportunity with the Steelers.
