LSU star makes her feelings crystal clear on Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese

LSU emerging star Mikaylah Williams has heaped praise on both former teammate Angel Reese and rival Caitlin Clark for the impact they've had on women's basketball .
The two former college basketball stars turned WNBA superstars have not only made a name for themselves, landing numerous brand and sponsorship deals, but have helped grow the sport exponentially.
Since Clark and Reese were both drafted into the WNBA last year , the league had its highest TV ratings in a quarter of a century , with games averaging 657,000 viewers in their first year in the league.
Jersey sales , merchandise and team's social media platforms have also risen at a higher percentage than other, with the two putting in incredible individual seasons on-the-court, too.
Williams spent her freshman year playing alongside Reese at LSU, with the 19-year-old point guard stating what she learned from playing with the WNBA superstar.
Williams said: "With Angel, it's just being unapologetically yourself and that's kind of something that I've stepped into, like being able to speak up in front of my team and be a leader.
So that's something she really instilled in me." And while Clark had been a rival of Williams and Reese's with battles between Iowa and LSU, the former had nothing but positives to say about the former also.
Clark and Reese have undoubtedly been the two biggest figures in the WNBA's huge rise in recent years after their rivalry in college basketball.
Both women put in sensational rookie seasons in the league following their draft into the WNBA, with Clark winning the Rookie of the Year award while being in the running for MVP.
Reese broke the record for most rebounds recorded in a single season.
Williams said: "They are growing the women's game like no other.
Angel doing what she's doing, Unrivaled, Caitlin Clark doing what she does, I'm just glad to be able to follow in their footsteps and hopefully still have that impact for the people coming behind me." The LSU point guard has previously admitted her admiration for Clark despite their run-in's on the court, stating last year: "Obviously, Caitlin Clark is amazing and the atmosphere with her in it was amazing."
