Welcome to The Weekly Rewind, a column published every Monday that recaps the past week of Vancouver Canucks hockey, including the teams record, players with the highest stats, and more.

This week, well be looking at what the Canucks got up to from March 10 to 16, 2025.

Their first game of the week took place at Rogers Arena against the Montreal Canadiens, in which Vancouver gave up an early goal and ultimately fell 42.

Despite the low-spirited effort, defender Filip Hronek tallied a goal and an assist, bringing his total up to six points in four games played.

Kevin Lankinen started for the Canucks and stopped 23 of 26 shots.

Vancouver was back at it again less than 24 hours later, this time taking on the Calgary Flames.

In a semi-surprising move, Lankinen started again.

That was not the biggest lineup news of the night, however, as Quinn Hughes made his return, slotting in for a presumably-injured Tyler Myers.

With a renaissance effort from Elias Pettersson during the third period and overtime, Vancouver completed the comeback and took a 43 win against the Flames.

However, during the first period, they lost defenseman Elias Pettersson due to an elbow from Connor Zary.

Saturdays game against the Chicago Blackhawks was a cathartic one for the Canucks, who won 62 off a commanding effort from the entire team.

The duo of Pettersson and Nils Hoglander each put up two points this night, as did Conor Garland, Pius Suter, Kiefer Sherwood, and Teddy Blueger.

As well, with a point on the opening goal by Hughes, Hronek tallied his eighth point in six straight games.

However, after being on the receiving end of a dangerous hit by Jason Dickinson, Filip Chytil was forced to leave the game and was later revealed to be undergoing concussion protocol.

On Sunday, the Canucks failed to claim an important two points and fell 31 to Utah Hockey Club.

In yet another match that saw them register less than 20 shots on goal, Vancouver was unable to capitalize on six minutes worth of power play time, four of which came on a double minor taken by Utah.

With the loss, Vancouver remains in the final wild card spot, but is tied with the St.

Louis Blues in points with 73.

On Saturday, theyll take on the New York Rangers at 10:00 am PT, as part of the first Hockey Day in Sweden.

This will be their first matchup against the Rangers since trading J.T.

Miller.
