Michigan women use big third quarter to bounce Washington, advance in Big Ten tournament

Olivia Olson scored 21 points, and the Michigan womens basketball team used a big third quarter to oust Washington, 66-58, in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Wolverines owned a slim 29-28 lead at halftime, but outscored the No.
12 seed Huskies, 23-13, in the third.
Washington (19-13) took a 37-34 lead on Elle Ladine jumper with 7:37 remaining, but Michigan peeled off a 15-2 run over the next 4:36, with Olsons 3-point play giving the Wolverines a 49-39 lead with 3:01 left.
Washington never cut it closer than seven the rest of the way.
Syla Swords added 15 points, and Jordan Hobbs 11 for Michigan.
Mila Holloway had eight assists.
Dalayah Daniels scored 22 for Washington..
