Ex-Maple Leafs Prospect Fraser Minten was dealt to Boston at the deadline, and on Wednesday, the rookie forward spoke publicly for the first time since the trade.

Fraser Minten's time in Toronto was not long, but it was memorable and impactful for the young forward.

Now behind enemy lines in the Boston Bruins organization , Minten had the opportunity to face off against his former team, the Toronto Marlies, on Wednesday for the first time.

He told reporters, including Nick Barden of The Hockey News , after the 4-2 loss that it was admittedly weird for him.

Minten also confirmed that there was a lot of chirping going on from his former Marlies teammates, who were trying to take him off his game.

The former Kamloops Blazer and Saskatoon Blade told reporters after the loss that the support he has received from his former Leafs and Marlies teammates has been overwhelming and pleasantly surprising.

The 20-year-old has yet to play a game with the Boston Bruins, but with where his game was at in Toronto prior to the trade, it shouldn't be long before Minten is back in the NHL.

Once that happened, it's entirely possible that he never goes back down to the American League.
