Livvy Dunne calls out troll over snide LSU comment: ‘Why do you care?’

Olivia Livvy Dunne took a troll to task this week after a snide remark about her fifth and final season at LSU.
In response to a comment made about last weeks senior night celebrations that read, Dont worry, youll be a senior for the next 10 years, the star gymnast and social media sensation put the critic on blast with the simple question of: Why do you care? I dont really understand whats so hard to get, Dunne began in the nearly minute-long video shared with her 8 million TikTok followers.
I came to college in 2020, got granted a fifth-year because of COVID and I came back for the fifth year.
I only see this comment on female athletes posts, and why do you care if I come back for a fifth year and have another year of eligibility? Like why do you care? Dunne, coming off a national championship run with LSUs gymnastics team, then called attention to football and basketball players red-shirting and taking fifth years all the time, including a certain Tiger.
The starting quarterback of LSU [Garrett Nussmeier] is coming back for a fifth year, this comment is nowhere to be found on his account, she said.
People commenting stuff like this obviously were never a college athlete or never loved a sport, so, like, youre not funny.
Why do you care what Im doing with my life? Please stop.
The 22-year-old athlete concluded the video by telling detractors who have called it greedy to return, that her scholarship went elsewhere.
To the people saying its greedy to come back, I gave up my scholarship to somebody else so I can come back.
So please stop, thank you, Dunne stated.
The New Jersey native, who has an estimated NIL valuation of $4.1 million ( via On3 Sports ), announced her return to LSU last summer.
In a September sit-down with The Posts Jenna Lemoncelli, Dunne explained how the gymnastics teams first-ever NCAA championship win in April 2024 factored into her decision.
It was so exciting for not only our team but the whole university.
And thats a feeling that I want to feel again.
It was so special in the bond with the girls, she said.
Ive really found the love, my love for the sport again last year, Id say.
So thats one of the main reasons why I wanted to come back.
The No.
2-ranked Lady Tigers honored Dunne and fellow seniors last Friday during a win over No.
10 Georgia.
However, on the eve of the meet, Dunne revealed she would be unable to compete due to a knee injury.
Hi friends! Unfortunately Ive been dealing with an avulsion fracture of my patella and will not be able to compete on senior night, she posted in an Instagram Story.
It absolutely breaks my heart to not get the opportunity to compete in the PMAC one last time.
Tiger fans, youve been so good to me! Thank you for the endless support and as always Geaux Tigers! Liv.
Dunnes star has continued to rise in the last few years.
In addition to securing brand deals and becoming a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model , Dunne entered her WAG era as her romance with the reigning NL Rookie of the Year, Pirates ace Paul Skenes, is going strong..
