Referee Scandal Rocks Fiery Canucks-Canadiens Showdown Last Night

There was a lot of controversy in last night's game between the Canadiens and Canucks, which has many people pointing the finger at horrible officiating.

The Montreal Canadiens' hard-fought 4-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks last night was anything but smooth sailing.

Martin St-Louis' squad had one more obstacle to navigate, not from their opponents, but from the officiating.

And, as many had foreseen, referee Chris Lee was squarely at the center of it.

Habs fans were fuming all over social media In the aftermath of the game, social media was buzzing with anger, and the refereeing was the hottest topic of debate, especially for Canadiens fans.

For a second time this season, Chris Lee was under the microscope for making life difficult for the Habs.

Statistics clearly indicate that the Canadiens have a difficult time when Lee is refereeing, and many can't help but ask why he is still assigned to their games.

Chris Lee is bad at his job, but he is equally bad all the time.

I take some solace in that.

The least possible solace, but solace nonetheless.

Even NHL insider Renaud Lavoie had a comment about it, which is saying quite a bit.

Suffice it to say Chris Lee is not doing himself any favors reputation-wise among fans in Montreal, and quite possibly elsewhere around the league too.
