Reed have agreed to terms on a three-year, $48 million deal, according to a league source.

The 28-year-old was No.

9 on The Athletic s top 150 updated free-agent rankings and was the second-highest-rated cornerback on the market, behind Charvarius Ward.

Reed was drafted by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He spent two years with San Francisco and two years with the Seattle Seahawks before inking a three-year deal with the New York Jets in 2022.

Reeds best campaign came in 2022 when he recorded career highs in combined tackles (80) and pass breakups (12) and added an interception.

Last year, he missed three games due to injury and tallied 64 combined tackles and 11 pass breakups.

Quarterbacks completed only 57.1 percent of their passes against him, according to Pro Football Reference.

Advertisement In seven professional seasons, Reed has recorded three years with at least 75 combined tackles and four campaigns with at least nine pass breakups.

He has six career interceptions, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and two sacks.
