On Tuesday, it was reported that Alabamas spring game will definitely be modified.

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke with On3s Pete Nakos about how he and the Crimson Tide plan on implementing the annual spring game.

...itll definitely be modified.

We want to try to have some type of event around April 12, DeBoer told Nakos.

This update comes at the expense of several other college football programs cancelling their spring game as a whole with no modifications.

Several schools that have cancelled their spring game are Texas, USC, Nebraska, and Florida State.

A large reason for the decision to cancel spring games stems from the developments regarding the transfer portal and NIL.

Schools across the country will try to pry other teams top talent away with the use of NIL and other promises.

Therefore, Alabama like many others, is now reconsidering its plans for A-Day.

DeBoer made that quite clear on Tuesday evening.
