The Canadian National Team looks set to land a major coup in the form of an up-and-coming Premier League forward.

AFC Bournemouth starlet Daniel Jebbison, 22, is expected to switch his international allegiance to join Jesse Marchs squad ahead of the CONCACAF Nations League, having previously represented England throughout his youth career.

An Under-19s European Championship winner with England, Jebbison becomes the latest in a string of dual-nationals to find themselves sold on the Canadian dream by Marsch.

These have included Hajduk Split winger Niko Sigur, Union Saint-Gilloise forward Promise David, and Minnesota United forward Tani Oluwaseyi.

Its taken on a life almost like a college recruitment style, Marsch explained in October about his recruitment strategy.

With some videos from current players in the team, with a comparison of how they play and how we play.

There are some pretty special gifts we bring along when we see guys.

The initial parts always are conversations on the phone or on Zoom, and sometimes with agents to help facilitate things.

Its good that Ive been in Europe and been around, that I have connections, and often at least know someone who knows someone who knows them or so on.

Then, theres these little ways of also saying, Hey, give him a call and let him know what it would be like to play for me and hopefully that winds up being a positive influence.

We want them.

All of them have Canadianness in them.

Some are born in this country and some have parents born in this country, and so were trying to translate to them the importance of representing this national team and this country - certainly what it means in our run to 2026 - and then also to highlight the character of the people in the team and the character of the team overall.

Marsch summarized by adding that its about creating a vision as to why this experience would be enriching for them, not just as footballers but as people.

It seems this sales pitch worked on Jebbison, who could now look to feature in Marschs Nations League title run in March alongside the likes of Bayern Munichs Alphonso Davis and Lilles Jonathan David, as first reported by The Athletic .

2025 will mark the tournaments fourth iteration, with Canadas previous best finish having come in 2023 when they finished runners-up to the U.S.

Marschs side are set to begin their campaign on March 20th when they take on Mexico in the semi-final.

The USMNT and Panama will battle it out for the other Final berth.

Canada will fancy its chances to make a serious push for the final, with a plethora of options now seemingly available upfront.

Jonathan David already has 20 goals in 36 games for Lille this season in what is proving to be arguably his best year to date for the Ligue 1 side.

Meanwhile, Promise David has netted 13 times in 28 games in Belgium, and Jebbison has a further two goals to his name in 24 games for Watford and Bournemouth..
