TRACK AND FIELDWilliamsburg star sets another recordWilliamsburg middle schooler Gunner Hammett made history again when he became the first 12-year-old in history to break 2 minutes in the 800 meters.Hammett, a seventh-grader at Queens Lake Middle, ran 1 minute, 58.22 seconds at a meet in Philadelphia on Saturday.

He was the only middle-school athlete running against high schoolers.He has now broken nine world age-group records since he was 10.

He was invited to compete at this months New Balance Nationals Indoor meet.COLLEGE FOOTBALLYorktown native to coach Tribe tight endsMike Maloney, who grew up in Yorktown, joined William & Mary coach Mike Londons staff as the tight ends coach.
