Insider Shares Update on a Potential Reunion Between Vancouver Canucks & Vitali Kravtsov

Vitali Kravtsov is coming to the end of his contract over in the KHL and many are wondering if we could see him back in a Vancouver Canucks uniform next season.

Back at the end of the 2022-23 season, the Vancouver Canucks issued a qualifying offer to three players including Russian forward Vitali Kravtsov, who signed a two-year deal in the KHL and it was unclear if and when he would return to North America.

During an appearance on Halford and Brough on Friday, Rick Dhaliwal shared that he reached out to Kravtsov's agent, Dan Milstein, who shared that there have been no contract talks between him and the Canucks.

Dhaliwal added that he has a hard time believing that the Vancouver Canucks would bring Vitali Kravtsov back as he's not even a point-per-game player in the KHL and likely couldn't crack the team's bottom-six next season.

He went on to add, 'Here's the deal.

When you're drafted high and you're an offensive player and you can't make it in the top-six, you better change your game and find a role in the bottom-six and if you can't you're in trouble.

I find it hard to believe the Canucks would have interest in that guy.' Kravtsov, a native of Vladivostok, Russia, is having a career-year in the KHL this season, setting a new highs with 21 goals and 45 points entering action on Saturday.

While the Canucks might not have any interest in bringing Kravtsov back, perhaps another National Hockey League club could make a trade with Patrik Allvin for his rights and sign him to a contract for the 2025-26 season.

If not, a contract extension with Trakor Chelyabinsk, who are second in the KHL and first in their division with a 35 wins in 56 games, seems like a safe bet this summer.
