Angel Reese gets real about adversity and hard work - 'To live my life isn't easy'

Angel Reese opened up on how it has felt seeing young fans wear her jersey in the stands, as the WNBA sensation continues to make a huge impact on women's basketball.
Since being drafted into the WNBA as a first-round pick last season, both Reese and Caitlin Clark have had a huge impact on the sport.
The league had it's most-watched regular season in 24 years and its highest attendance in more than 20 years, with Reese and Clark being the top two jerseys sold while seeing the league's merchandise increase by over 1,000 percent.
Reese had gone on to star in her rookie season, breaking the rebounding record in the regular season her first year in the league, while also being named an All-Star.
And while playing in the new Unrivaled league in the offseason, hundreds of fans have been seen wearing Reese jerseys, with the 22-year-old given an emotional response on being asked on seeing them.
Reese said: "Its so much I can say.
But for me, to keep going, its hard.
It is hard.
To live my life isnt easy.
And I dont want to get emotional, but thats why I put the work in every day.
"There are little girls that look up to me.
There are the college girls that look up to me.
And just being able to be an inspiration every day thats why I try to keep going through all the negativity.
At 22, its hard living this life.
But Im grateful.
Im blessed.
And being here at Unrivaled has been the best thing for me." She is competing in the new offseason league with Rose BC alongside both Chelsea Gray and Kahleah Cooper.
The tournament runs through the beginning of March before Reese will return to the WNBA with the Sky in May, where she'll look to lead the Chicago Sky to the playoffs.
While her impact has been huge off-the-floor, Reese has been rewarded for her impact as she agreed to a multi-year contract extension with Reebok, becoming one of the faces of the sporting giants after first signing when starring in college with LSU.
