The Yankees are playing baseball again.
They started off their spring slate with a win, downing the Rays 4-0 yesterday afternoon, Marcus Stroman taking the ball first and pitching a scoreless inning, and Paul Goldschmidt roping an RBI double in his first spring at-bat as a Yankee.
The news wasnt all good, though; Chase Hampton, the teams top pitching prospect, underwent Tommy John surgery.
Hampton will the miss the entire season after pitching just 18.2 innings due to injury last year.Itll be a fairly light Saturday here on the site, and in the morning you can check out our daily trivia game, while later John will opine on the reported split between ESPN and MLB.
In the afternoon, the Yankees will travel to take on the Blue Jays.
