Former Pitt LS Cal Adomitis Re-Signs With Cincinnati Bengals

Former Pitt long-snapper Cal Adomitis is returning to the Cincinnati Bengals for another season.

The Bengals announced on Friday that the team has agreed to a 1-year contract extension with Adomitis, keeping him in Cincinnati through the 2025 season.

Adomitis signed with the Bengals after the 2022 NFL Draft and emerged as the starting long-snapper following an injury early season injury to long-term starter Clark Harris .

He hasnt looked back since.

The 6-foot-2, 250-pound Adomitis started every game between 2017-21, serving as Pitts short and long snapper.

A team captain at Pitt, he made his impact on the field.

And he made, arguably, an even greater effort off the field.

A 2021 AFCA Good Works Team member, named for his commitment to community service, Adomitss Cals Kids initiative raised over $122,000 for the UPMC Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh and it led to the shearing of his long locks.

Adomitis earned All-American honors on the way to an ACC championship and NFL dreams along with earning the Mannelly Award, which is given to the most outstanding long snapper in college football.

After four years at Pittsburgh Central Catholic and five years at Pitt, staying in hometown Pittsburgh for nearly a quarter century, Cal laid a foundation on not just being a good football player, an excellent long-snapper, but a good human being.

He may be playing in Cincinnati now, but his impact in Pittsburgh will not soon be forgotten.

Adomitis is entering his fourth season as the starting long snapper for the Bengals.
