The Auburn boys hockey teams season came to a close with a 6-3 sectional quarterfinal loss to Christian Brothers Academy/Jamesville-DeWitt on Thursday on the road.
Ryan Maher netted two of the Maroons goals, while Judah Young had one score.
Peter Tarby tallied three assists.
Seamus Gentile-Ovens and Cal Maher totaled one assist apiece.
Goalie Jonah Young racked up 32 saves.
Auburn ends the season with a 4-16 record.
Moravia boys basketball captured its fourth straight Interscholastic Athletic Conference Small School championship on Wednesday by taking down Newfield at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
Moravia 60, Newfield 42: The Blue Devils captured their fourth straight Interscholastic Athletic Conference Small School championship on Wednesday by taking down Newfield at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
Joe Baylor paced Moravia with a game-high 23 points.
Jairen Francis had a double-double of 12 points and 18 rebounds.
Eli Landis and Dillon Palmer scored 9 had 7 points, respectively.
Zach Szachta finished with 5 points, while Riley Jones and Westin Walker had 2 apiece.
The Blue Devils are back on the court Feb.
28 for their first game of sectionals.
Moravia 48, Candor 34: After beating Candor for the IAC Small School championship last season , Moravia girls basketball did so again on Wednesday at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
The Blue Devils' defense held Candor to 1 second-quarter point to propel them to the win.
Caraline Wasileski led Moravia in the victory with 16 points, seven rebounds and a pair of blocks.
Olivia Genson ended with 13 points, three steals and three assists, while Lashley Heredia Castillo had 11 points and three steals.
Jessalyn Jones tallied 7 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Blue Devils are back on the court Wednesday for sectionals.
Corning Community College 93, Cayuga Community College 62 Jefferson Community College 64, Cayuga Community College 47: Haley Mosch had a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds Thursday in the Spartans road loss.
Xavia Evener ended with 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals, while Lexi Alberici scored 13 points.
Jada Smith pulled down eight rebounds.
Cayuga is back on the court Tuesday for a regional tournament matchup.
Cayuga Community College 62, Corning Community College 40: The Spartans held the Red Barons to 3 second-quarter points Wednesday in a home win.
Evener paced Cayuga with 22 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.
Alberici had 18 points, six assists and two steals, while Mosch posted 15 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
Sierra Murray concluded with 7 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
