The Boston Celtics ' three-point shooting gets the headlines, but improved passing from their stars is a huge part of their offensive success this season.

Jayson Tatum has his second triple-double of the season.

It's the first time in his career he's had two in one season.

It's Tatum's second triple-double of the season in a year where he's upped his assists from 4.9 to 5.7 per game.

He's reached 300 assists with 26 games to go in the season.

He was 5-of-13 from the floor with 15 points, but consistently drew defenders to him and then found open teammates.

Brown had six dimes Thursday night, his fourth game this month with five or more assists.

It's helped to make up for the diminished offensive role of Jrue Holiday, who has been taking more of a backseat and playing fewer minutes, possible to rest for the playoffs.

The shooting for the Celtics remains important, as they lead the NBA in made three-pointers.

They're also fifth in two-point percentage.

But it's due to the ball-sharing of their stars that their teammates are getting so many open chances to score.
