Triple-A Indianapolis, the Pirates only affiliate still playing this season, used a three-run ninth inning rally to slip past the St.

Paul Saints, kicking off the weekend with an 8-6 win.

Jack Suwinski hit a two-run homer to cap the rally, while Joshua Palacios singled, doubled and homered.

Shortstop Tsung-Che Cheng continued his surge at the plate since getting called up to Indianapolis at the conclusion of the Altoona Curves season, collecting his first Triple-A double.

In potential injury news to monitor, Endy Rodriguez, who underwent Tommy John surgery late last year and made his return to live game action barely two weeks ago, left the game with trainers shortly after a third inning throwing error.
