HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: Sectional seeds set; brackets unveiled

Section II released its 2024-25 high school boys basketball sectional seedings and brackets.
Opening round postseason contests tip off on Feb.

All class semifinals will be held at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls, while finals are happening at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) in Troy, on March 8-9.
Green Tech (AAA), Niskayuna (AA), Glens Falls (A), Hoosick Falls (B), Berne-Knox-Westerlo (C), and Loudonville Christian (D) earned the top seed in their respective classes.Class AAA has a ton of juice if you love classic rivalries!Green Tech returns four starters and will attempt to repeat in Class AAA, beginning against the winner of Guilderland (9) vs.
Schenectady (8), on March 2, at 4 p.m.
at HVCC.
Should the Eagles advance, theyd play the winner of an old-school Big 10 matchup between Albany (5) and CBA (4).On the other end of the bracket, we could be headed toward another big rivalry game in the semis.
Shaker (2), which fell in the semifinals last year to Green Tech, ran the table in the Suburban Council Conference this season and has an opening date with Saratoga Springs (7).
If all goes chalk, the Blue Bison will face rival Shenendehowa (3), should they advance past Colonie Central (6).All quarterfinal games are at HVCC on March 2, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Hawthorne Valley (2).With North Warren moving to Class C, Class D will crown a new champion.
Last years runner-up Loudonville-Christian (1) plays the 4/5 winner in the semifinals at Cool Insuring Arena on March 4, at 6:30 p.m.
The other semifinal will be at the same location with a 5 p.m.
