Amanda Balionis' famous QB husband, outfit 'worn for Tiger Woods' and Rory McIlroy rumors

CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis has become a staple on the PGA Tour .
The 39-year-old journalist started her career covering high school sports before landing a gig as an in-house reporter and host for the PGA in 2011.
She briefly worked in digital content creation for Callaway Golf before CBS scooped her up as a part-time reporter in 2016.
A year later, Balionis was offered a full-time contract, and her reporting duties expanded to include college football and NFL games alongside golf.
Off the green, Balionis is married to ex-NFL quarterback Bryn Renner.
Renner, 35, earned a scholarship to play for the University of North Carolina and had a stellar college career, but an injury damaged his draft prospects.
He was picked up by the Denver Broncos in 2014 but was released just a month later.
After making waves in the Arena Football League, he was signed and released multiple times by the Baltimore Ravens.
He also had brief stints with the Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers before transitioning into coaching.
Balionis reportedly started dating Renner in 2019, and they got engaged a few years later, tying the knot in 2022.
However, the CBS reporter has since switched her social media handle from Amanda Balionis Renner back to Amanda Balionis, and she was seen without her wedding ring last year.
The couple has yet to provide a clear update on their marital status.
Balionis became the center of attention when it was speculated that she was romantically involved with Rory McIlroy .
Neither party reacted to the rumors, but Us Weekly reported they only had a professional relationship.
This gossip surfaced as McIlroy was navigating marriage troubles, having filed for divorce last May, only to patch things up with his wife Erica Stoll shortly after.
McIlroy spoke about the issue in the upcoming 'Full Swing' series on Netflix, lamenting the rumors.
"There have been rumors about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate," McIlroy said in a clip shared by Netflix.
"Responding to each rumor is a fool's game.
Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together.
Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning." Meanwhile, golf fans buzzed with a different theory involving Balionis last week as it suggested her wardrobe choice at the Genesis Open's final day was a heartfelt nod to Tiger Woods and his late mother, Kultida, who passed away earlier this month aged 80.
Woods, who hosted the event, is known for donning red on competition Sundays - a tribute to his mom's belief in it being his "power color".
Despite experimenting with other colors early on, Woods formed the tradition for Kultida.
"I then saved it for 'Okay, mom, I'll make a deal with you.
That I'll only wear red on big events on the last round of big events,'" Woods explained.
"Because I can't wear it every single day.
She said, 'Fine, just wear it on the last day'." The 49-year-old honored tradition by donning red on Sunday despite not competing.
At the same time, Balionis sported a red blazer, which numerous fans interpreted as paying homage to the Woods family..
