3 landing spots for Packers star Jaire Alexander, featuring a trio of playoff teams

The Green Bay Packers star could be going elsewhere this offseason as things might have taken a turn with his only team.

Jaire Alexander is a name that has been synonymous with Green Bay for seven seasons.

At his peak, the Green Bay Packers cornerback was able to lock anyone down in the NFL.

He, paired with Aaron Rodgers in his peak, created a tough roster for opponents to take down.

That is, of course, except for the San Francisco 49ers, but still, the Packers towered above most franchises, partly thanks to Alexander .

Last offseason, Alexander trade rumors swirled, but general manager Brian Gutekunst shut the rumors down .

This time around, however, according to NFL insider Rob Demovsky of ESPN , the cornerback could be on the chopping block.

Here are three potential landing spots for the cornerback.

#3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished with one of the lowest-ranked passing defenses in the NFL.

As such, the team has no choice but to make moves.

Jaire Alexander could be a boost for the secondary overnight.

With the team most likely moving on from Chris Godwin, theyll need to either stem the bleeding defensively or add to their offense.

Alexander serves as an option to help the team take the first path.

Plus, as the team sizes up a third straight playoff run, theyll want someone with playoff experience.

Alexander provides that.

#2 Washington Commanders The Washington Commanders are impressively young at quarterback.

However, at cornerback, their move for veteran Marshon Lattimore didnt quite live up to the hype in the playoffs.

If the Commanders are serious about getting through the Philadelphia Eagles next year, theyll need to boost their secondary with playoff-experienced vets.

Alexander provides that experience.

He also makes sense as an interdivisional trade option for the Packers.

With the Commanders existing in the NFC East and the Packers existing in the NFC North, the odds of the trade biting the Packers are much smaller than trading him within the division.

Of course, with Alexanders recent injury history serving as a potential reason for the trade, the Packers might think theyre sabotaging the Commanders.

It will be up to Alexander to prove that logic is flawed and if it works out, the Commanders will have the final laugh.

#1 Baltimore Ravens The Baltimore Ravens had a dominant rushing defense in 2024.

However, they ranked near the bottom of the pile in passing defense.

The Ravens appear to be just one move away from getting over the hump.

Adding Alexander to help shore up the defense would be a huge help for Lamar Jackson.

If he doesnt need to play hero ball in the playoffs, it would help the offense run a conventional style like they had all year long.

Keeping the opponent from winning through the air would be a big step toward that.

The Ravens had the passing and rushing offense to win the Super Bowl, but their passing defense ultimately let them down.

Alexander would help fix that issue.
