The Los Angeles Dodgers have reunited with utility player Enrique Hernandez on a contract.

The super-utility man is known for his versatility and postseason power.

Hernandez has played every position on a baseball diamond except catcher.

He signed a one- year deal with the Dodgers last winter worth 4 million dollars.

This was his second stint with L.A.

The right-handed hitter spent 2015-2020 with the Dodgers before signing with the Boston Red Sox before the 2016 season.

Hernandez has a career batting average of .238, but he hit a slightly lower average in the 2024 regular season at .229 with 12 home runs and 52 RBI.

A Different Animal in October.

However valuable Hernandez is due to his versatility on the field during the regular season, he turns into Superman in October.

He has an OPS nearing .900 in his postseason career and a batting average well over .400.

If that isnt impressive enough, he is tied for the most postseason home runs with Babe Ruth with 15.

The Little Things He is known for his flamboyant presence in and around the clubhouse but for his tenacity on the field.

Hernandez sparked the Dodgers fifth-inning comeback against the New York Yankees in game five of the World Series.

He broke an 0-27 skid team skid, hustled to second on an Aaron Judge error, and forced Anthony Volpe to hurry his throw to third base before scoring the initial run for Los Angeles.

They would go on to win the game and the World Series .

Now, that he has signed with the Dodgers, will Hernandez get a chance to don a cape in October?.
